Brief Introduction

United China Consultants Ltd. (UCC) is an across-cultural transnational consulting services company specializing in a complete array of marketing, sourcing and investment planning, implementing and other consulting services needed to make various companies successful in the Chinese market. UCC's full scope of services ranges from conducting market research, performing trade and investment promotion to providing management consultancy services to various clients in a wide-range of industries both in China and from abroad.

UCC has been established and formed by a couple of Chinese and foreign intellectuals in early 1992 as an international partnership company when the new breeze of profound economic reform and development campaign was blowing across the Chinese mainland triggered by the open release of late Chinese top leader Mr. Deng Xiaoping's speech on his last tour to the South China.

In the beginning, all founding partners gave up their former well-being positions in pursuit of self-actualizations in career developments and devoted themselves to the campaign to meet the demand for promotion of foreign businesses into China, not only setting up mutual bridge between Chinese and foreign technical, economic and cultural exchanges, but also providing an across-the-board platform for implementing such exchanges. 

During the past 17 years, as corporate brand-awareness built up and active marketing efforts implemented effectively in the global market, we have expanded our business consulting services. Up to 2009, as one middle-sized consulting firm, we have not only been providing comprehensive consulting services to foreign companies into China, but also providing business promotion services to local Chinese government departments and enterprises into the overseas market.

Nowadays, we can proclaim to the outside world, saying with full of confidence that though we are not necessarily one of the largest consultancy firms in the world, we are definitely one of the best consultancy firms in the world.

Thomas Yin, Business Advisory Partner, Chinese Co-Director

Thomas Yin was born in Sichuan Province and educated in China. He graduated from Beijing Normal University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Graduate School in the 1980s & 1990s with a B. A., M. A. Economics and Ph. D Economics respectively. During his post graduation program, he participated in two important programs, including one-year English language training at CASS-UCLA English Training Center in 1987-1988, and one-year Economics courses study at Nanjing University-Johns Hopkins University Center For Chinese and American Studies in 1988-1989.

He used to work in CASS as a research fellow for three years. Mr. Yin speaks fluent English. He is a great master of public relations in dealing with Chinese government departments and industry associations. He gained much experience in integrating academic research and Chinese market studies and wrote many articles, papers and reports on the above topics and had them published on Chinese newspapers, magazines and books.

Victor Herrero Amigo, Business Advisory Partner, Spanish Co-Director

Mr. Herrero was born and educated in Spain. He graduated from EAP, European School of Management, Paris with a B.Sc. in European Business Administration and Law Department of University of Zaragoza, Spain with a B.LB in 1992.

Since 2001, Victor participated in the EMBA, Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) (USA & HK) and received its EMBA in 2003. Mr. Herrero gained much experience in working with Spanish clients and Chinese clients.

Charles Ragen, Business Advisory Partner, American Co-Director

Mr. Ragen was born and educated in the USA. Before he graduated from University of Washington with a B. A. in business in 1987, he used to study Chinese language in the USA, Taiwan and Mainland China. he is in charge of developing business relations with American clients and coordination with UCC Beijing Office.

Mr. Ragen is a Sinologist. He speaks fluent Chinese and has a good master of Chinese language. He obtained much experience in working in Sino-American government organizations and businesses and in dealing with Sino-American clients.

Mr. Michal Bogusz, Polish Partner

Mr. Michal Bogusz used to study politics at University of Gdansk, Poland majoring international relations in 1996-2001 and studying Spanish language at University of Leon, Spain in 1999 respectively.  Studying in Chinese universities such as Renmin University of China under government-to-government scholarship during 2001-2003 and 2004-2005 respectively and working with Silny & Salamon on conducting marketing and sourcing projects in China since 2002.

Due to needs for marketing with Mamut in China, he has been working with UCC on Mamut’s marketing project in China since 2006, gaining and accumulating rich experiences in marketing foreign products in the Chinese market. In 2008, he got Ph. D. International Politics from University of Gdansk. Since early 2008, he began to join UCC as one of our marketing directors and partners from Poland in charge of developing business relationship with Eastern European market and Spanish-speaking market such as Latin America.

Mr. William Gao (Zhicun Gao), Australian Partner

Graduating from Beijing Normal University with B A. Economics in early 1980s and from Johns Hopkins University with M. A. Economics in early 1990s and from Queensland University with Ph. D. Economics in 2003 respectively, William has been awarded with professorship at Queensland University and member of Australian Macro Economics Society. He used to participate in the investigation and policy research projects under the national planning committee and MOFTEC, ministries of agriculture, husbandry, fisheries and research projects under UNDP, Queensland University and China National Environmental Protection Bureau.

Returning to China in 2007 and employed as professor of economics at Beijing Chemical University and Beijing Geely University respectively. Used to work at one Chinese mining company as financing manager in 2007 and join UCC as one of the newly-appointed senior partners in 2008 being responsible for developing mining business relationship between China and Australia.

Mr. Boris Aubourg, French Partner

Graduating from ESCEM, Tours’ campu with B. A in finance. Coming to Beijing, China in June, 2008 and worked at UCC as one of the French interns from June to August responsible for developing business contacts with those foreign embassies and international organizations located in Beijing, China.

Due to his pro-active attitudes toward responsibilities and remarkable performances during his stay on duty, he was promoted to be one of the youngest partners from abroad so far by the general management. Since Middle 2008, he has been in charge of developing mutual and bilateral business contacts with those potential clients from France and those French-speaking countries.
